PTSA Wants Your Input!

January 25 - February 8

It’s very important to us that we are always striving to better meet the needs of our Woodmoor Elementary community.  Please take a few minutes to answer our brief 10 question survey so that we can grow and improve our PTSA.  The survey is anonymous (but please do leave your name and contact information if you would like to), and will be open from January 25th – February 8th at 11:00 PM.  Paper copies are available at the front office or download & print a PDF copy and return to the PTSA box in the front office.

To take the survey online, click here.

Thanks for your time and participation!

Bingo Night is Almost Here!

Always a very popular event, Bingo Night is back again this year. In order to run a successful event, we need the following support:

DONATIONS

We need age-appropriate Bingo prize donations (new or gently used). A donation bin accepting donations is located under the PTSA bulletin board in the main office. Corporate give-aways are fun prizes (hats, frisbees, pens, notepads, etc.).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

This event uses a trusted online tool for sign-ups and coordination of volunteers.

Thank you. We look forward to a successful Reading Fun-draiser!

PLEASE NOTE: The work party will be held at the library on Tuesday February 7 at 6pm.

Woodmoor Cultural Night

Tuesday January 17

6-8pm in the Gym

Update will be communicated shortly

Woodmoor will host a Multicultural Night. Families will have the opportunity to share food, music, traditions and crafts from their cultures. There are several ways to participate! You can share food from your culture, host a country table to share your culture’s traditions and crafts, or perform a dance.  You can also just walk around and enjoy the diversity our school has to offer. If you would like to contribute to this enriching evening, please contact Sarah Aksan at 425-408-5668 or Elizabeth Meza at 425-408-5625.  We are excited to learn more about the diverse cultures at Woodmoor!

2011-2012 Woodmoor Yearbook

Pictures NEEDED!

Have you been taking pictures in your child’s classroom, field trip(s) or at other Woodmoor Elementary events like Back to School Night, Cross Country meets, Math Club, Veteran’s Assembly, Cultural Night, Bingo Night, etc.? I need those pictures for the 2011-12 Woodmoor Yearbook! I do not need a lot of pictures – 1 to 5 from each class day or event. (There is only so much space in the yearbook for “candid” pictures.) Last year I took many of them, but I can’t be everywhere. I need pictures by February 15th!

Please email fourcarrolls@comcast.net or put them on a disk.   Disks can be left in the PTSA box for Yearbook/Chris Carroll. Be sure to let me know the name of the teacher or event.

Is Your Child Walking

To or From School?

We would like to remind our walkers to always use the cross walk at the intersection of 160th and 124th street. Woodmoor students and Junior High kids should never enter and exit through Woodmoor's back gate on 124th. Please help us keep your child safe when they walk to and from school. Visit the Northshore School District website for walking recommendations.  We would also like to remind our parent drivers and motorists the importance to obey all traffic and Woormoor's parking rules.  For more information or contact person, visit the Transportation homepage.
