An art docent is a volunteer who leads monthly art appreciation lessons and activities in the classroom. These dedicated volunteers provide opportunities for students to engage in the process of creating art through a variety of mediums.

We will have training for all new art docents, so you’ll know how to prepare and what to expect. All supplies will be provided. 

If you’re short on time, don’t worry! About 3 hours per month is all you need. Art docents teach once a month, and the lessons usually last 30-60 minutes. The kids love art time and will be excited to see you walk in the classroom! You’ll be surprised how fun it is to help students create art.
