Now, more than ever, kids need art in their lives as a way to connect, explore, calm, innovate and rejuvenate. It is our goal to get kids involved, as much as possible.  Yes, it is a "contest", but more importantly, it is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our identities and to be creative.

Everything is going to be done virtually.  I think we can all agree that the arts are important, every day!  But, now more than ever.

The Reflections Program is a National PTA and WSPTA cultural arts competition that’s so much more than "just an art contest."

It helps kids:
  • Take risks
  • Be inspired
  • Think creatively
  • Receive positive recognition
  • Be celebrated for their works of art

It also allows our community to celebrate our students' creativity!

Students will create their work of art AND write a short artist statement.  Judging is based on both the artwork and artist statement.

Those students' works of art will be celebrated at a district open house in early 2021.  Council will judge the pieces in each category and some pieces will continue onto State PTA and National PTA for further judging.  Regardless of where a student places, our PTA will celebrate any student artist who submits a piece of art for Reflections.

Further details for how to submit your work will be published soon.
